Founded in the Winter of ‘22, WYTCH is the beginning of a project that is the culmination of a life’s interest in the visual arts, psychedelia, magick and the strange.
‘Thought Camera (Early experiments in Black Magic)’, a collection of new work by Syd.
Made by painting silver gelatin (and a chemical called ‘Black Magic’) onto glass, his photographs are projected onto the coated surface and developed in a darkroom built for this project. He uses a antique frames and mirrors to display his work, and also creates his own frames from reclaimed Victorian furniture, driftwood and ivy, in his workshop on the Isle of Wight. There are a few pieces from this collection currently available on this site, and more to come.
