Small ornate copper framed Ambrotype (1860)

An ambrotype is a photographic process on glass introduced in the early 1850s.

Both frame and image are in in lovely, original condition.

Inscription on the back reads “Taken December 1860” (easy to date this one!).

The names we have given to the ambrotypes are nicknames for identification purposes.
