The Green Man is a forest god, representing the cycle of new growth that occurs every spring. The Green Man is most commonly depicted as a face made of, or completely surrounded by leaves (usually oak).

A beautifully carved vintage piece, I don’t think it has a great deal of age, but gorgeous patina.
